The bdrmm arrive at the Covo with the songs of the new album “I Don’t Know” to be released on June 30th.
bdrmm are a four piece band based in Hull and Leeds. Musically, their influences come from the Cure, Deerhunter and DIIV. The band indicates RIDE and Radiohead among the main points of reference. There are also echoes of krautrock and post-punk, from The Chameleons to Protomartyr, plus the proto-shoegaze of The Pale Saints’ “The Comforts Of Madness”.
After forming in 2016, the band has been playing non-stop, supporting the likes of Fat White Family, Her’s and Viagra Boys. When Steve Lamacq featured them on his BBC Radio 6 Music Recommends show, the band was spotted by Sonic Cathedral. The label reissued lead single “C:U” on a 7″ as part of the Singles Club and followed it up with the compilation EP “If Not, When?”, which sold out and conquered legions. of new fans, including Lauren Laverne, Huw Stephens and John Kennedy. In late 2019 they recorded their critically acclaimed 10-track debut album ‘Bedroom’ at The Nave studio in Leeds with Alex Greaves (Working Mens Club, Bo Ningen) and was mastered in Brooklyn by Heba Kadry (Slowdive, Beach House).Released in July 2020, the record is an extremely successful debut and a real step up from the first singles, both sonically than the lyrics; words like “It’s not that I didn’t try and keep my shit together / This whole ordeal just took over” (from the track “Gush”) seem to fit the times perfectly and speak to a pandemic-weary audience. as a result, “Bedroom” has become one of the underground hits of the lockdown, according to The Guardian, with rave reviews everywhere from blogs to newspapers. After racking up plays, selling out press after press and entering the Official UK Charts on three separate occasions, it ended up in Rough Trade’s Top 10 Albums of 2020.

HOW TO GET HERE

NEW NIGHT BUSES

During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.

IF YOU ARRIVE BY CAR...

In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
