Anna and Vulkan comes from Torre Annunziata, in the province of Naples, and is one of the freshest and most interesting new voices on the scene. She sings, plays, produces, and personally designs the graphics for her projects, pouring her artistic vision into every detail. With a crystal-clear and unmistakable sonic identity, she is able to transform emotions and lived experiences into music, authentically telling the many realities she moves through.
The “Volcano” is a clear reference to Vesuvius, always visible from her window at home and a constant symbol of returning. From an early age, she grew up surrounded by musical instruments thanks to her father’s profession as a musician and composer, and she spent countless car rides listening to Lucio Dalla, Pino Daniele, and Petrucciani.
She approached music slowly and quite independently, starting by playing the drums — one of the few instruments not already present in her home.
After a tour that brought her across Italy and to two international dates, ANNA AND VULKAN announces “’NU VELENO AMARO”, her new single available everywhere from Friday, October 24, via Pluggers and Columbia Records.
The track represents an encounter between present and tradition: a production with contemporary sounds that converses with the popular roots of Neapolitan music. “’Nu veleno amaro” explores the tension of an uncertain relationship, suspended between desire and the need to step back — a swing of conflicting feelings that oscillates throughout the song. The direct, visceral language of the lyrics intertwines with a rhythmic, sensual production, creating a unique and magnetic atmosphere. The result is a hallmark of Anna and Vulkan’s music: fragility and real emotions capable of making the listener dance.
“’Nu veleno amaro,” the artist says, “is a track that’s a bit different from what I’ve released so far, and I’m really curious to see how it will be received. Over the past year, I’ve felt the need to experiment, to play with new sounds in search of a key that would give me greater interpretative freedom, without losing coherence with my musical identity. ’Nu veleno amaro is more sensual and assertive, with a strong urban imprint but deeply tied to the roots of classical Neapolitan music — in its arrangement, its interpretation, and its choice of words. It tells a very human love story, imperfect and complex, sweet and cruel at the same time. It’s the story of someone moving between temptation and caution. It’s an emotional track, almost shouted, where passion and fear coexist.”
With “’Nu veleno amaro”, Anna and Vulkan is ready to further affirm her brilliant path as one of the freshest emerging figures in the new Italian music scene, with an artistic depth that is increasingly distinctive.

In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
