Where Are You, Bronco‘s debut album, was born out of a rush of absence and searching: missing people, missing loves, missing one’s roots. In the absence of relationships, the artist searches for himself in his dark, alternative songwriting.

Bronco charts a journey in an attempt to find a place in the world without compromising. Each track is a reflection of this inner struggle, a tale that winds its way through personal and imaginary stories, restoring the listener’s freedom to know themselves and reclaim those emotions that have long since been dormant.

Recorded between September 2023 and September 2024, the record took shape in Marco Bertoni ‘s studio with co-production by Filippo Giglio(Hibiscus). A process that started from room-born sonic skeletons to the end result of a layered album in which songwriting is mixed with pop sounds while remaining sophisticated. References to artists such as Rino Gaetano, Lucio Battisti, and Verdena are added to the international influences of Teen Suicide, Beach Fossils, and Royel Otis. The trumpet parts, inspired by Jon Hassell and Brian Eno‘s Fourth World Vol. 1: Possible Musics record, add depth to an album that is not afraid to be daring.

The record addresses themes from toxic relationships to addictions, from panic attacks to feeling like you don’t belong anywhere. The tracklist opens with Io animale, a dialogue between body and mind, between skin and anxiety, to reestablish oneself while Dispiace tells of a vanished addiction, an absence now devoid of need. Blues X a suicidal brother dives into empathy, trying to understand others’ pain and find a way to respond. 6.51, the latest single released by the artist, is a glimpse into the future of those who no longer have a plan but live intensely in the moment. Marilyn is nothing more than the alter ego we learn to live with, and Something Demented, intentionally closing the tracklist, represents the liberating delirium to escape the weight of the world, without conforming.

Where are you? is a record that lays bare the frailties and desires of Bronco, but also of the listener. A receptacle for moments of acute despondency upon which a human will to fight back is brought down. Inside are the land, childhood places and the artist’s safe havens, in an emotional journey that unfolds between essential sounds and arrangements carefully constructed after hours spent in the studio.

Opening

NERVI

NERVI’s tour, initially consisting of four concerts, now expands to 19 dates, taking the Florentine artist to major Italian cities to present “E Poi Svegliarsi Presto,” his debut album.

Released on Nov. 29 by Red Rain Records, “And Then Wake Up Early” is a lucid snapshot of the contemporary generation, suspended between nostalgia, frustration and the constant search for authenticity. A shaking, sharp and incisive work imbued with a deep and inescapable melancholy. It is a reflection of painful detachment from naiveté and reassuring habits, an obligatory passage to reality, harsh and disarming.

With intense and often ironic lyrics, Nervi dwells on the invisible nuances of life, the contradictions and feelings we often ignore: he translates into music the complex relationship with love, failure, success and self-destruction, elements filtered through the prism of urban experience. His songs communicate the need to come to terms with the truth, as if it were unbearable to remain in deception any longer.

The focus track, STOMALE, entered Spotify’s sanguegiovane playlist within hours of release.

Born out of the Florentine underground scene, Nervi combines dark pop and glam rock to explore the contrast between aspirations of grandeur and the fragmented reality of modern cities. In 2020 he won Primo Maggio Next, Musica da Bere and the Buscaglione Award. In 2022 he participated in X Factor, on Ambra Angiolini’s team, and in 2023 he was a finalist in Musicultura. The year 2024 marks a new artistic chapter, with the release of the singles “Deadly Boredom,” “I’m Not Thirsty,” “Drink Too Much,” and “How Difficult It Is To Love Yourself In A Big City,” on Spotify’s Indie School playlist, guarded by the album AND THEN WAKE UP SOON.
