Hat always lowered over her eyes, metropolitan attitude and soul resonant of Nature, Coca Puma is a sort of urban fairy capable of illuminating every object on which her artistic gaze rests. A demiurge who designs sound architecture with the freedom of an abstract painter, an antenna that captures the moods now of the forest and now of the asphalt and reverberates them in a new musical cosmogony.

Born in 1998, Roman, Coca Puma is the moniker of Costanza Puma, an eclectic artist with a nu-jazz background who moves in a hybrid and atypical horizon, between dream pop, nu-soul, electronic, ambient and post-rock. Ethereal and magnetic, she uses the voice and textures of her productions to build a world of her own. Internal and individual, first of all. Then generational and, finally, human.

A tireless vinyl collector, she grew up listening to soul and r’n’b, although today she looks with more interest at the percussive sound of Joy Orbison and the modern psychedelia of Tame Impala. A deep-rooted passion for Brazilian music and a more recent discovery of electronic music come together in her DJ performances while a strong interest in the relationship between sound and the moving image draws her into the production of music for cinema and advertising jingles. He worked on the music for La Rivoluzione siamo Noi, a film by the Istituto Luce Cinecittà which recounts the decade of ’67/’77, crucial for contemporary art; of Luce sul Piemonte, presented on the occasion of the Torino Film Festival. Furthermore, in this period he is working on the soundtrack of Quasi a casa, Carolina Pavone‘s debut film, produced by Sacher Film, Vivo Film, Rai Cinema.

After several important experiences on the Capitoline stages and beyond – Monk (Roma), Anfiteatro del Venda (Padova), Cosmo Jazz (Chamonix), Alcazar Live (Roma), MIND Festival (Montecosaro), UEFA Roma Euro, Piazza del Popolo (Roma), Sherwood Festival (Padova), Ex Macello (Milano) in occasione di Dr. Martens presented by MIAMI, Arcibellezza (Milano) per CBCR presented by Rockit and more – Coca Puma is about to release his first solo album – conceived and written between the City and a remote refuge in the Etruscan countryside: Panorama Olivia, the result of a creative need that places the spotlight on the research and experimentation carried out over the last few years.

Opening

Kyoto

The Kyoto project (aka Roberta Russo), was born in 2020. Its peculiarity lies in the fusion of the beatbox technique with dark and cinematic electronics. Kyoto intones and recites words in a frenetic, irreverent, irreverent way, which reach straight to the stomach and the head, on repetitive, pounding musical patterns, which combine modern electronics with typical elements of tradition, such as the Apulian one which represents it. The project veers towards scenarios that distance themselves from the Italian musical panorama, looking for a place to identify, or perhaps simply escaping any type of syntactic and musical staticity.
