Alternative rock band DEADLETTER announce their second album, Existence Is Bliss, set for release on Friday 27 February via So Recordings. The announcement is accompanied by the release of the lead single and its music video, To The Brim, out now. Pre-orders for Existence Is Bliss will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday 14 November and will be available in LP, limited edition LP, and CD formats.

With To The Brim, DEADLETTER deliver a refined track that blends aesthetics from the alternative, indie, and rock worlds.
To The Brim ushers in a new era for DEADLETTER who, following their 2024 debut album Hysterical Strength, now push towards a more sophisticated and fluid, genre-blurring sound. The production is spotless, while frontman Zac Lawrence’s gritty vocals masterfully tie every element of the song together. With the release of To The Brim, DEADLETTER send a powerful message, demonstrating the high standard of what’s to come from one of the most promising bands on the British scene.

Speaking about To The Brim, DEADLETTER said: “To The Brim explores the experience of living with denial and how it leaves you powerless and brimming—literally ‘full to the brim’—with despair. Musically, we wanted a fresh start, perhaps as a direct reaction to that denial.”

DEADLETTER are an alternative band originally from Yorkshire.
The group formed in 2020 thanks to longtime friends Zac Lawrence (vocals), Alfie Husband (drums), and George Ullyott (bass). Since then, the line-up has gone through several incarnations and today counts six members.
The band cites LCD Soundsystem, The Stranglers, Captain Beefheart, and Can among their influences. DEADLETTER are known for their intricate, reference-rich lyrics, paired with instrumentals that move between alternative rock and indie.
In 2024, they released their acclaimed debut album Hysterical Strength, which NME described as “dark and unsettling, yet irresistible and fun” in a four-star review.
Now, the band return with their stunning second album, Existence Is Bliss.
