Available from September 16, FIVE EGGS is the new album by Dumbo Gets Mad, the project of Emilia-based singer-songwriter, producer, and sound designer Luca Bergomi, who in over fifteen years of career has captured the attention of international critics (Pitchfork, NPR, The Needle Drop) as well as industry insiders and fellow Italian artists such as Marracash.
FIVE EGGS, the artist’s fifth studio project and his first release with Carosello Records, encapsulates a new sonic journey through Dumbo Gets Mad’s signature elegant psychedelia. The album features 10 tracks — including the preview singles “Pariah” and “Biscaglione” — plus an exclusive unreleased song available only on the vinyl edition.
The album was premiered live on Sunday, September 14, at the POPLAR FESTIVAL in Trento.
Dumbo Gets Mad explains:
“FIVE EGGS is an album that aims to observe life through the behavioral and relational dynamics we face every day. Values, the important things, and the more frivolous ones are explored without judgment — simply by asking questions, without yet providing real answers — questions that I believe are fundamental to a process of curiosity and growth. It’s therefore a psychedelic record in its aesthetics, structure, and sonic imagery, but very realistic in the themes it addresses.”
During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.
In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
