Cosa devo fare is the title of the new EP by the Bologna-based post-hardcore band Gegenhalt.
After debuting in 2023 with their EP Paratonia, the band gained an increasingly wide following thanks to an intense live schedule. In the spring of 2024, they released their second EP, Tigri, featuring a sound that balances alt rock, emo, and post-hardcore, which led them to share the stage with bands such as Atlante, Braghe Corte, and Nobraino, and to strengthen their ties with various groups from the Italian emo/post-hardcore scene.
The Gegenhalt take care of every aspect of their music: they record, produce, mix, and distribute their own work, while also independently handling the production of their merch. This self-sufficient artistic approach represents one possible answer to the question posed by the EP’s title, Cosa devo fare (“What should I do?”), which will be presented at Covo on November 7.

At the heart of it all remains the friendship between Christian and Cale, and the endless possibilities they continue to find in each other. “We’ve known each other since middle school,” reflects Cale, “and we’re still here. For me, this is only the beginning.”
ASIANOIA
Between post-punk and Italian songwriting, Asianoia are a band from the province of Ravenna. The project was born in 2021 from the meeting of the already established duo Valerio Mordenti and Leonardo Viviani—respectively singer and guitarist—with Mattia Mingarini on drums and Silvio Pece on bass.
The group’s sound is shaped by a range of stylistic influences, from indie to post-punk, and from alternative rock to Italian cantautorato. Their debut EP, the self-titled asianoia, was released on November 1, 2022.
Their first full-length album is currently on the way.
