UK / post punk / Brace Yourself Records

Italy 90 is back. Once a quartet, now a trio, the band returns to the live scene with a renewed lineup and a completely new setlist.

The new material, building on the success of their debut album Living Human Treasure (released in January 2023), pushes the band into less familiar territory — at times more melodic, at times decidedly darker. All of it is underpinned by their trademark cohesion and precision, honed over decades of friendship, which remain the foundation of the Italia 90 sound.

The band has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, delivering highly praised sets at festivals such as The Great Escape (UK), MIL and Milhões de Festa (both in Portugal), Le Guess Who? and Left of the Dial (Netherlands), and Fuzz Fest (Czech Republic).

They have received critical acclaim from numerous publications, including DIY Magazine, The Quietus, The Guardian, and So Young (UK), Rumore and L’Espresso (Italy), Mowno and Sound of Violence (France), and Goûte Mes Disques (Belgium).

After a year-long break — a time for reflection and renewal — the band is ready to resurface, hungrier and sharper than ever.

Opening

Tanz Akademie

Tanz Akademie are a six-piece band from Piedmont — indie/post-punk/whatever-you-want-to-call-it — that simply can’t stand still. After the strong reception of their debut album Hullabaloo (2024), they played nearly 80 shows across Italy and Europe, including a recent date in London opening for Italia 90.
Now, they finally have a new record on the way, set for release by the end of the year, produced by Icelandic musician and producer Bjarni Daníel Thorvaldsson (supersport!) and producer/engineer Manuel Volpe of Okum Studio.
They love Covo Club — and can’t wait to come back.

HOW TO GET HERE

NEW NIGHT BUSES

During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.

IF YOU ARRIVE BY CAR...

In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
