🎉 COVO CLUB 45 YEARS FESTIVAL | 45 years of rock history. Italy’s longest-running alt venue celebrates this anniversary with a series of unmissable concerts, between punk rock and indie, between post punk and rock’n’roll: bands that have made the history of our venue and groups that will make it will take turns on stage, in a month-long celebration made of guitars, dancing and surprises. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. SINCE 1980!
Mclusky are a rough Welsh trio, straddling punk and indie rock, formed in 1998. Led by Andrew Falkous (vocals/guitar), the original lineup also included Matthew Harding (drums) and Jonathan Chapple (bass). The recording debut came in 2000 with “My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours,” followed by the acclaimed “Mclusky Do Dallas” (2002), produced by Steve Albini and considered a great leap forward. After a third album in 2004, the band disbanded in 2005. Falkous would later form Future of the Left. From 2015 Mclusky began to reunite, first as Mclusky*, then recovering the original name. In 2023 they released “unpopular parts of a pig,” the first unreleased album in 19 years and a preview of their fourth album “the world is still here and so are we.”
The Komarov Magnificent Backflip project was born in a dirty, damp basement in Bologna’s San Donato neighborhood. After a few lineup changes, the quartet stabilized with Riccardo, Daniele, Thom and Roda. In 2023 the first self-produced and self-distributed record entitled Fingerblaster was released, 8 tracks recorded in a rehearsal room in front of a suburban Lidl. In 2024 they won the selection for La Zona D’Ombra convened by Bronson Recordings, and in July 2025 they recorded what will be the new record to be released in March 2026 by the label.
During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).<br/>Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.
In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
