Italy’s longest-running alt venue celebrates this anniversary with a series of unmissable concerts, between punk rock and indie, between post punk and rock’n’roll: bands that have made the history of our venue and groups that will make it will take turns on stage, in a month-long celebration made of guitars, dancing and surprises. Mclusky are a rough Welsh trio, straddling punk and indie rock, formed in 1998. Led by Andrew Falkous (vocals/guitar), the original lineup also included Matthew Harding (drums) and Jonathan Chapple (bass). The recording debut came in 2000 with “My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours,” followed by the acclaimed “Mclusky Do Dallas” (2002), produced by Steve Albini and considered a great leap forward. After a third album in 2004, the band disbanded in 2005. Falkous would later form Future of the Left. From 2015 Mclusky began to reunite, first as Mclusky*, then recovering the original name. In 2023 they released “unpopular parts of a pig,” the first unreleased album in 19 years and a preview of their fourth album “the world is still here and so are we.”
