Listening to Big Lucky, Peter McPoland’s fourth album, feels like finding a four-leaf clover along a well-worn path. An album that pulses with intimacy, genuine detail, and emotional clarity: this new work is the project he’s always wanted to make—raw, spontaneous, and profoundly his own. Written, produced, recorded, and performed entirely by McPoland, Big Lucky represents a return to his roots—to that pure songwriting which first launched his career and won over millions.
Born in Vermont and raised in Texas from the age of seven, Peter McPoland began his musical journey at a very young age. At 16, he performed live for the first time in major settings such as the Vans Warped Tour and “New Voices in Rock” at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After graduating, he moved to New York to fully dedicate himself to his music career.
After the viral success of his debut single Romeo + Juliet, along with the albums Slow Down, Piggy, and Friend—plus numerous singles and EPs—McPoland has racked up over 450 million streams on Spotify alone. This huge following has allowed him to embark on several national headlining tours and to perform in arenas as a supporting act for major bands such as Twenty One Pilots and Imagine Dragons.
His upcoming tour will see him joined by his closest childhood friends—now his bandmates.
Recently, McPoland decided to cut ties with social media and streaming services, relying instead on a flip phone, an iPod loaded with Beatles songs, a reel-to-reel recorder salvaged from his uncle’s basement, and cassette tapes found on Facebook Marketplace. And from there, he started over, giving life to Big Lucky. This album represents a return to the authentic songwriting that defined his debut—one capable of capturing the hearts of millions of listeners.
In a world dominated by TikTok meteors, McPoland stands out: he rejects the stereotype of the “one-hit” artist and chooses instead to build something far more lasting. La sua miscela di folk e indie-rock si unisce a un repertorio già straordinariamente solido.

During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.
In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
