Quade are Barney Matthews (bass, vocals), Matt Higgins (hardware), Tom Connolly (violin/guitar) and Leo Fini (drums), four musicians from Bristol. The band semi-seriously defines their music as “doomer sad-boy, ambient dub, folk, experimental post-rock.” Their second album on the AD 93 label, The Foel Tower, was released on April 18, 2025. They collaborated again with two fellow Bristol residents-Jack Ogborne (Bingo Fury, Naima Bock) on production and Larry “Bruce” McCarthy on mixing. The album was recorded at Nannerth Ganol Studios, in Central Wales, and is named after Foel Tower, a regional landmark.
The sound of The Foel Tower is distinguished by a dual nature: it is intimate and powerful at the same time, rich in detail and texture, but also broad and airy. As The Guardian wrote, “the album’s soundscape is immersive and layered…Tom Connolly’s violin conveys angst and beauty with equal intensity.”
During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.
In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
