Released on April 25, 2025, ROCK & ROLL is Umarell’s third album and stands as the manifesto of an identity in constant transformation. It’s not a rock & roll record in the musical sense, but it embodies the attitude: transgression, breaking the rules, and irreverent irony. An album that pushes these concepts to the point of becoming almost comic, parodic.
Musically, ROCK & ROLL is an Electroclash record that ranges from spacey club bangers to 2000s-style guitars. raw rap, instrumental interludes, and collaborations with emerging artists such as Giogis, Nancy, and Comanche Hooks, a rapper from Udine. The album pairs an elegant, minimalist aesthetic inspired by Swiss Design with the chaotic energy of post-internet entropy-posting. A meeting point between Serge Gainsbourg and 100 Gecs, between beauty and digital overload.
Starting from September 2025, Umarell’s live setup expands with Gumo, a drummer whose playing is aggressive yet precise—hard-hitting but perfectly on point—adding bombastic, explosive energy to the sound! The release of the two singles POVERO CORAGGIO and CARTA VETRATA also earned the project an article in the fashion magazine ELLE.

Opening

Nancy + Marrakech Express

NANCY

Nancy, a young musician based somewhere in the Bologna area, has just released her first album — following a few EPs between 2023 and 2024 — titled Cameraarte.

The sound of Cameraarte manages to be beautifully varied: with the opening track erbavoglio, one might think they’re listening to a record born from trap—here reinterpreted through the lens of realizing you’re standing at the threshold of adulthood and need to learn how to act accordingly. But then come the South American rhythms, lo-fi textures, and electronic impulses that spill into drum ’n’ bass—there’s even a faint punk glimmer, as heard in the title track—that doesn’t shy away from shining through. All of this comes through Nancy’s deeply personal approach to songwriting: within Cameraarte lies her inner world—suspended between the worries and uncertainty of her current life and the need to seek, or at least imagine, a way out.

Nancy’s isn’t rap. It’s a strange hybrid — a stream of sounds and images flowing messily from a hole in the chest, only to find a form of improbable balance the moment it reaches the right ears. It’s just a matter of learning to listen—and putting yourself in the shoes of someone who’s 20 years old and has too many doubts swirling in their head.

MARRAKECH EXPRESS

Marrakech Express is a duo of DJs and producers formed between Milan and Venice in 2022.
Their music blends nostalgia and club vibes, taking listeners on an emotional journey that drifts between memories and the dancefloor.

Their first EP, ASA NISI MASA, takes its name from a mysterious, nonsensical phrase taken from Federico Fellini’s film 8½. It’s a symbolic expression of deep connection—friendship—which also inspired their name, taken from Gabriele Salvatores’ film Marrakech Express.

Friendship, the passage of time, adventure, and freedom are the central themes of their music.

The EP feels like a journey through memories, transforming human emotions into club sounds.
The tracks blend dreamlike, cinematic atmospheres with acid melodies, balancing emotional sensitivity and the raw power of dance.

Bodies move and connect through dance, creating a never-ending personal journey.
More broadly, the EP—and the entire Marrakech Express project—celebrates clubbing as a form of expression and resistance: dance as a pursuit of joy and freedom in today’s world.

Dj Fottesega

DJ Fottesega is not a project, not a product, and not even music or art—it’s simply the innate unruliness born from personal exploration and endless curiosity, with a backdrop of 130 bpm baile funk and shattered guitars from the Doom scene.
