Cari Cari are Stephanie Widmer (vocals, drums and didgeridoo) and Alexander Koeck (vocals, guitar). The duo lived in London, Hamburg and Madrid before releasing their debut album “Anaana”. They have been called “the children of an imaginary love between The Kills and The xx” (IndieShuffle, USA) “with the raw grit of a Cat Power record” (BestBefore, AUS) and “a pinch of Ennio Morricone” (FM4, AUT).
Since their inception, Stephanie and Alexander have worked tirelessly to create their own world, carefully crafting everything that best represents them, from music to artwork, videos to set design.
This meticulous attention to detail has earned the band a loyal following; Rolling Stone Magazine called them “the biggest discovery of Primavera Sound Festival 2018”, their die-hard fans sold out over 1000 capacity venues across Europe and their debut album was praised by the likes of NME, KCRW, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1 and many more.
All roads traveled so far have led the band to Koo Koo Island. Dreaming of completely withdrawing from contemporary life, they managed to release their latest album, “Welcome To Kookoo Island”.
“Kookoo Island is our Libertalia, a utopia that we think represents our ideal world,” explains Stephanie. “It seems strange to dream of a place like that right now, but dreaming of what we want the world to be is the first step to making it a reality “.

AFTERSHOW PARTY

Gate 1

Glamorama - RCF
The indie c’mon of Stefano Benuzzi and Fabio Merighi, straight from Thursday night’s radio waves, returns to get you moving at Covo Club with a selection of indie pop, alternative music classics, and juicy new tracks fueled by guitars and raw emotion.

HOW TO GET HERE

NEW NIGHT BUSES

During the weekend there the new night lines are available, to move around Bologna and its surroundings throughout the night (with departures every half hour!).
Get on board the N3 line and arrive at Covo (and go home!) whenever you want, wherever you live.

IF YOU ARRIVE BY CAR...

In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
