La Natura delle Cose is substance, it is going to the bottom. Accept that we are out of tune, with our mistakes, fragility, craziness. An invitation to be more merciful with ourselves, trying not to be crushed by the obsession with performance.

Anticipated by the release of the single Rumore, the album marks the beginning of a new path for the Piedmontese singer-songwriter and musician after the musical adventure with the Baobab! project.

Gaia Morelli, with her dense and visceral timbre, is a unique voice in the current Italian panorama. Her writing is also rare: refined and authentic, capable of painting vivid and powerful images alongside decomposed arrangements and sound experiments where you can breathe the indie pop and alternative pop influences of international origin of artists such as Big Thief, Elliott Smith, Bon Iver, Fiona Apple, Sufjan Stevens. A slight melancholy always peeks out between the lines of his world, an identifying trait of the rarefied and delicate atmospheres of the album, often obtained by exploiting the natural reverberation of the environments in which it was recorded, giving harmony also through the use of acoustic instruments.

Written and composed by Gaia, arranged by her together with Cali Low who also recorded and produced it, and embellished with the bass clarinet of Enrico Gabrielli in Sentio gli Angeli, La Natura Delle Cose is a formative album that accompanies the singer-songwriter in her transition to adulthood, in the struggle with the difficulty of remaining oneself, without being crushed by the logic of the result. La Natura Delle Cose is their deepest essence: hence the title of a work that focuses on authenticity, transparency, substance. Ten introspective tracks on the importance of analyzing, in one’s own time and in one’s own space, the totality of randomness that we experience and that we each perceive differently, leaving room for error and its acceptance.
