The Macks are a U.S. rock band that combine garage fury, psychedelic imagination, and an unwavering devotion to their artistic path. After years of paying their dues, they’ve reached a stage where each record feels more like a cohesive universe than a simple collection of songs.
Their recent story revolves around Bonanza, an album in which The Macks seem to stumble into their own good fortune, all the while knowing there’s no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It’s a work born out of effort and stubbornness, focused yet sprawling at the same time, electric and surprisingly tender, showing just how well the band can balance expressive urgency with meticulous attention to detail. What emerges is a heterogeneous yet recognizable form of rock, with straightforward songwriting and bold production that open up a world ready to welcome the listener, without the promise of easy rewards.
Describing The Macks’ sound as “a wave of heaviness shot through with blues and thrash” isn’t enough: theirs is music that moves you, leading into unexpected territories while always keeping a rock’n’roll heart at its core. The band is made up of brothers Josef and Ben Windheim, along with Sam Fulwiler, Jacob Michael Perris, and Aidan Harrison — a tight-knit core that often works independently between their home studio, touring, and festivals.La band è formata dai fratelli Josef e Ben Windheim insieme a Sam Fulwiler, Jacob Michael Perris e Aidan Harrison, un nucleo affiatato che lavora spesso in autonomia tra casa-studio, tour e festival. In 2022, they released their lockdown project “Rabbit”, in which a raw and progressive vision of rock propelled them onto festival stages and tour dates from Idaho to Mexico City, cementing their reputation as “masters of controlled chaos” without ever slowing down.
Self-produced in their Portland home, Dajiban gathers and expands on the ideas born with Rabbit, drawing listeners into a vast, catchy, gritty, and unmistakably Macks territory. It’s elemental rock’n’roll that lives in a borderland between instinct and perfectionism, between spontaneous bursts and meticulous work on the arrangements. In 2024, the band further sharpened their language with “The Macks Are A Knife”, released via Devil Duck Records — a record teetering on the edge of a rhythmic and melodic cliff, ready to risk a somersault only to land firmly on its feet, confident yet free of posturing.
The group’s roots run deep in the LPs Camp Poppa (2017) and Yup (2019), which captured the raw energy of their live shows and the garage spirit of their early days.
Today, The Macks are consciously aiming for ever-larger stages without sacrificing the visceral impact of their origins. Performances at festivals such as Pickathon in Portland, the Spanish Ballroom in Tacoma, MonkeyBee Festival in Mexico City, Treefort Fest in Boise, and Dog Days Fest in Savannah showcase a band fully focused on the “here and now,” capable of turning every concert into a direct extension of their sonic world.
Makka Pinkelton, the solo project of Alessio Maccarini, is joined by Great Sumo Slam to bring his album to the stage in a live setting. The delicate, lo-fi sound of his first record — written and produced as a solo effort — is reimagined live with garage-rock energy and psychedelic elements.

In this period (and for a long time) it is possible that in this area there'll be construction work that limit the availability of parking spots nearby. If you cannot find a parking space in viale Zagabria, we recommend looking in the following streets: Kharkov, della Campagna, Francoforte, Machiavelli.
